If approved, how do I get the loan?

Your loan will be deposited into your nominated bank account, the funds will be available the same evening. (If processed before 1pm)

Do you look at credit history?

Do you assist if I am under debt review/debt counselling or administration?

No, this is prohibited by the NCA.

What is the NCA?

The National Credit Act.

Do you do an affordability assessment?

Yes, although not as strict as our normal monthly loans, as you pay us back with your bonus. We believe in responsible lending and it is a requirement of the NCA. Should we determine that you are already over indebted on a month to month basis that a bonus loan will only contribute towards your over indebtedness. You should use your bonus to improve your financial situation should you be over indebted.

What is the maximum amount for a bonus loan?

R5 000.  We also do not borrow more than R5 000 in total. In other words, we do not borrow R5 000 more than once.

Why do you only borrow up to 20% of my bonus?

We do not want to commit you with your entire bonus. We feel that you should still enjoy your bonus and do those extra things in life.

What is the minimum amount?

R2 000.

Why do you sometimes borrow less than the 20% of my bonus?

Your level of indebtedness and credit profile will determine this. Should we feel that your level of indebtedness is higher than our credit criteria allows, we might request that you re-apply for a lesser amount.

Can I have more than 1 bonus loan?

Yes, as long as it is a minimum of a R2 000 and you did not borrow the 20% limit(or R5 000) with your first loan. In other words, let's say your limit is R5 000, and you borrowed R2000 initially, you may apply for the difference of R3 000 or a portion thereof.

If I have paid my bonus loan, can I apply for a normal monthly loan?

No, BonusBuddy specializes in bonus loans only. We do not offer any 1 month/payday loans.

Are there any deductions before my bonus month?

No, this is the whole point of a bonus loan. It should not influence your monthly budget. Although you do have the option to pay your bonus loan before the payment date. This is totally up to you. This can be arranged by phoning or emailing us.

Can I settle my bonus loan earlier?

Yes, you will also get the necessary settlement discounts as prescribed by the NCA.

What happens if I don’t pay?

Well, hopefully this won’t happen, we will always try and make alternative payment arrangements with you as debt collection and legal costs are very expensive and is for your account. Should these attempts fail, we will continue with the normal debt collection/legal route. The necessary status will also be updated on your credit profile.

Are you a registered lender?

Yes, Sanfen Trade CC is registered at the NCR. Our registration number is NCRCP 323. You can also visit the NCR website at www.ncr.org.za

How do I pay you back?

When you sign the loan agreement you also have to digitally authorize the debit order (DebiCheck). Different banks have different authorization channels. Mostly though, it can be done on your online banking profile, banking app, your bank's ATM or call centre. The amount due will be deducted from your nominated bank account on the day of your bonus or as close as possible to your bonus date.
